The Players
The summer of 1994. Emily’s parents are getting divorced, leaving her longing for love and attention. When she joins an avant-guard theatre company she feels like she has found a
surrogate family, but a dangerous relationship develops with the show’s director. Exploring the boundaries between power and abuse, childhood and adulthood, The Players is a nuanced coming-of- age story that focuses on the dangerous lessons we use to teach girls about being women.
